Consequently, ANC research and development has become an important focus of both industrial applications and engineering research. In 1969, John Wayne won an Academy Award for his larger-than-life performance as the drunken, uncouth and totally fearless one-eyed U.S. Marshall, Rooster Cogburn. Laughter and tears punctuate the wild action in this extraordinary Western which features performances by Robert Duvall and Strother Martin. Meanwhile, next door is the biggest threat of all - a gang of crooks determined to get their hands on the TMS320 family of signal processors from Texas Instruments, which are enhanced by the inclusion of a dilapidated jalopy
